Cozy Sudoku: Family Puzzles · Effective 4 August 2026

Cozy Sudoku is built to be private by design. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. This page explains exactly what data the app handles and where it goes.

What stays on your devices

Everything you do in the app, profiles, puzzle progress, streaks, statistics, and settings, is stored on your device. If you are signed into iCloud, this data syncs through your personal iCloud account (Apple's private database) so it follows you across your devices. We have no access to it: it lives under your Apple ID, not on our servers. We operate no servers of our own.

Anonymous crash reports

So that bugs get found and fixed, the app sends an anonymous crash report when it crashes. These reports contain technical diagnostics only: the device model, operating system version, app version, and the technical trace of the crash. They are not linked to your identity; the app never collects your name, email address, contacts, or location, and reports contain no puzzle or profile data. Crash reports are processed by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) on servers in the European Union and are retained for at most 90 days. This is the only data that ever leaves your device to us, and it is used for one purpose: fixing bugs.

Optional Apple services

If you choose to use Game Center, achievements are reported to Apple's Game Center service under Apple's own privacy policy. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store; we never see your payment details. The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device; it involves no server.

Children

Kids World is designed for young players and collects no personal data from children. Kids profiles cannot make purchases, cannot access Game Center, and contain no external links. Progress for kids profiles is stored the same way as everything else: on your device and in your family's own iCloud.

Deleting your data

Deleting a profile in the app removes its data from your devices and your iCloud sync. Deleting the app removes all local data. You can also manage the app's iCloud data at any time in your device's iCloud settings. Crash reports expire automatically within 90 days.
